Popping Pimples - Why it's a Bad Idea:

Popping pimples might seem a great idea when the pressure of clogged pores begins to mount into red mountains of embarrassing grief. Though a pimple pop might seem a logical conclusion to the immediate problem, the truth is that in the long run, you will definitely end up with bigger problems that don’t go away as easily as an individual pimple goes away.

There is noting worse in a teenager’s life than the fate of their complexions after puberty sets into full swing the new order of oil production. When blackheads and whiteheads begin to appear, a person’s natural first instinct are to begin popping pimples to speed recovery and avoid embarrassing appearances in front of friends and strangers. Though a pimple pop might seem to speed up recovery, the truth is that it actually slows healing time and makes the area more noticeable.

Popping a pimple is not the answer to anything when it comes to acne. Read on to learn why squeezing your zits is a terrible idea and ways to deal with your acne that won’t cause damage or further health concerns.

Don’t Squeeze!

Squeezing your zits before they are ready has several negative consequences that anyone suffering from acne might end up regretting for the rest of their life. Severe acne will always leave damaged skin, but a dermatologist can deal with those problems later in life when the acne has finally subsided. Not everyone suffers from the kind of acne that will leave a permanent imprint, so, popping pimples is not wise when a person suffers from a lighter variety that will eventually smooth out into nothingness.

Negative Sort Term Impact:

1. A Longer Stay

It is just common sense that squeezing on your flesh will create bruising and a damaged area. Most people who squeeze a pimple are wishing for it to go away or become less visible. To squeeze on a zit that is not ready is creating a situation that will take a lot longer to resolve.

2. Bacterial Infection

Popping zits before their time is damaging skin and opening the area wider, which makes for a much easier infiltration by bacteria. A wound that suddenly becomes more open will be more likely to get an infection and will lead to a more serious situation.

3. Increased Noticeability

An attempt at a pimple pop too early will not result in anything but pain and will result in something that anyone with a huge zit wants to happen. Increased visibility for the area will come in the form of dark bruising and increased redness and even scabbing. If the purpose of popping zits is to get rid of the pimple, then squeezing it too early is taking a lot of steps backwards.
